The Ullage Survey
Terms
The ullage survey is a load calculation determining the quantity of cargo by measuring the distance between the surface of the liquid and the top of inner surface of the tank on the vessel. Also, to obtain the precise quantity of cargo in a tank, List and Trim Correction must be applied to the measured ullage. SHANTIA certified inspectors could actually conduct this survey.

Bunker survey

Draft survey
Terms
International SHANTIA inspection company provides draft survey for customers to measure the quantity of cargo in the vessel. Draft survey ascertains the quantity of cargo loaded or discharged from ship by reading the vessel’s draft marks and measure the ballast water. All Liquid on the board such as fresh waters, ballast tank, … also are calculated. As the hogging and sagging of ship significantly influence the result of survey, our marine surveyors are well-trained and competent to support client.

ON/OFF hire condition survey

When hiring a vessel, it is important for clients to have correct information on the condition of the vessel prior to the damage, so the ON/OFF hire condition survey is will be vitally required. We perform essentially an independent survey on the behalf of clients and report can be used as an evidence to claim against the character for any damages or deficiencies. The ON/OFF hire condition survey is often performed with the bunker survey.
